Postdoctoral Position - Center for the Study of Systems Biology at the
Georgia Institute of Technology

Postdoctoral applications are sought to work with Professor Jeffrey
Skolnick in the Center for the Study of Systems Biology at the Georgia
Institute of Technology. Specific areas include the Molecular and Cell
Biology of Cancer with an emphasis on Cancer Metabolomics, large-scale
biological simulations and the automated assignment of proteins to
biological pathways using novel algorithms and the integration and
systematization of high-throughput data into regulatory, signalling,
metabolic and interaction networks.

Highly creative individuals are sought with the following
qualifications:

Very strong background in Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Molecular
Biology or Biochemistry.
Interest in large-scale analysis and integration of biodata to
understand specific biological processes.
Extensive experience in developing computer code in languages such as C
++, Perl or Phyton.
Previous experience doing international quality research in Biomedical
Informatics, Bioinformatics or Computational Genomics applied to
concrete biological problems, as evidenced by a track record of
publication in high quality international journals.
