Crystallisation support scientist - GlaxoSmithKline - Harlow.

A temporary (seven month) position is available to work in the protein
crystallisation laboratory in GlaxoSmithKline, Harlow.

JOB DESCRIPTION.

Assist structural biologists in setting up high throughput protein
crystallisation experiments and analysing results using robotic equipment.
Help run laboratory by ordering reagents and maintaining equipment.
Prepare and handle protein samples according to written protocols.
Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks according to company guidelines.
Communicate with integrity experimental observations and outcomes. Follow
all laboratory safety procedures. Willingness and ability to work with
various projects in a team environment. Willingness and ability to perform
routine operations in an automated lab environment. Attention to detail
and focus on productivity. Basic computer skills including MS-Word and
MS-Excel. The applicant should have a degree in biochemistry or a related
discipline, and laboratory experience. Able to work with minimum
supervision.
