Denis did his Ph.D. at the IBS in Grenoble, then moved "downunder", first to the St. Vincent's Institute of Medical Research (Melbourne), then to the Australian National University in Canberra. After a few years of having his head upside down, Denis returned to Europe. He worked in the Bioxtal company in France, before moving on to Birkbeck College (University of London). Last year, he joined Heptares. During his career, Denis never moved away from Protein Crystallography. Denis has authored a number of publications, and was appreciated by colleagues he interacted with. He is survived by his wife Sarah and (I believe) two children. I am enclosing herewith a picture of Denis taken in Tasmania back in May 1997 - Denis is on the right. Fred. CCP4bb navigationCCP4bb <-- 1999 <-- November 1999 <-- 30 November 1999 |
