Thank you to all who replied to my original post. Here is the result.

Original query:
Sorry for the off-topic question.....Does anyone know a way to just
buy the spin columns from the Qiagen (or similar) PCR clean up / Gel
extraction / miniprep kits, without buying the entire kit? Our lab is
deluged with buffer components but seem to be perpetually running out
of the columns.

Replies (note: I have not tried any of these yet!):

The most recommendations were for: EconoSpin All-in-1 Mini Spin
Columns for DNA/RNA extraction from Epoch Biolabs
(www.epochbiolabs.com). $95.00 for 250 columns. (Qiagen kit for 250
is $317.00).

Others sources are:
Uprep columns (www.uprepusers.com). These are distributed by various
companies in the US and Europe.
Others mentioned that you can buy them from Qiagen directly with some
sweet talking, but I'm not sure how the prices compare.

Merry nucleic acid purification!

Eric
