We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate II to join our Crystallization team. The role responsibilities will include: preparation of protein samples, screening of crystallization conditions, optimization of crystalline leads, optimization of cryoprotectants, optimization of soaking conditions, scoring of crystallization trials (at room temperature and 4 degrees), routine soaking of crystals with ligands, working with robots and data entry. The candidate must have a B.S. in Biological Sciences (or a closely related discipline) and three plus (3+) years lab experience. Candidate must have a good understanding of protein biochemistry and molecular biology. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Good computer and communication skills (both oral and written) are essential. Experience in crystallization highly desired. Experience with automation, molecular biology, purification or chemistry a plus. Please apply on our web site.
