Stratagene's Mx3005p has been mentioned before on this list. It seems to do the job well, and there is great software support from Frank Niesen at Oxford. However, we've really come to like Eppendorf's Mastercycler ep realplex 4 because of exceptional results with the proteins we essayed. Scientifically rigorous superstition requires that we get this instrument. I was wondering if anyone has any real-life (and not just real-time) experience with it. In particular, I was wondering how people set the temperature gradient, how they analyze the data, and how reliable the instrument is. Thanks. Andreas By the way, the rep told us today that a software particular to protein melting curve analysis was forthcoming. CCP4bb navigationCCP4bb <-- 1999 <-- November 1999 <-- 30 November 1999 |
