A NIH-supported post-doctoral fellowship position is available immediately
to investigate the structure and biochemical activity of small molecule
inhibitors of S100A4, a metastasis factor and regulator of cytoskeletal
function. Research activities include the high-resolution crystallographic
analysis of S100A4 bound to small molecule inhibitors, evaluation of lead
compounds and biochemical evaluation of the mechanisms by which small
molecule inhibitors interfere with S100A4-mediated regulation of myosin
assembly. The successful applicant will have documented expertise in
structural biology and biochemistry.
