A post-doctoral position in structural biology is available for
studying the relationship between structure and function of ligand-
gated ion channels. The successful candidate must have a doctoral
degree, strong motivation and should possess excellent written and
oral communication skills. Experience in cDNA cloning, cell culture
and protein purification techniques are required. Prior experience
with the expression and solubilization of membrane proteins would be
a very strong plus. The research project will be carried out in close
collaboration with the electrophysiology group of Dr. Bernd Nilius
and Dr. Thomas Voets, who have published leading papers in the field
of TRP channels and Cl- channels. More information about research at
