Post-doctoral or graduate student position available

A post-doctoral position with competitive salary package (~US$40,000 +
housing subsides, full healthcare coverage and up to 3 months bonus,
tax is about 10%) is available at the laboratory of Shee-Mei Lok in
the emerging infectious disease program of the Duke-NUS. Duke-NUS
graduate medical school situated in Singapore, is a global partnership
between Duke University and the National University of Singapore.
Projects undertaken by the post-doc will lead to further understanding
of the structure and function of dengue virus envelope protein [Li et
al., 2008 (Science 319:1830-4) and Lok et al., 2008 (Nat. Struct. Mol.
Biol. 15:312-7)]. Individuals with experience in one or more of these
areas: crystallography, cryoEM image reconstruction, animal virology,
protein expression and purification are highly desirable. Graduate
student will also be considered.

Singapore is the most westernized city in Asia and has been voted to
be the best place to live in for expats. In addition, according to
Anthony Bourdain, it serves the best food on earth.

Interested individuals should send their CV, experience, research
interest, and a list of three referees to Shee-mei Lok (slok@purdue.edu)
