Postdoctoral position at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology,
Cambridge, UK (closing date April 17, 2009)

Dr Murray Stewart is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on the
structure and function of macromolecules involved in nuclear transport
and cell division. The Stewart group uses a combination of structural,
molecular and cellular methods to understand how key cellular functions
are generated by concerted series of interactions between macromolecules
(see www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/SS/Stewart_M). Applicants should have a PhD
(or intend to submit their thesis within three months of applying for
the position) and research experience in structural and molecular
biology. Experience in some area of Cell Biology, especially nuclear
transport or mitosis, would be an advantage. The successful applicant
will be awarded an MRC Career Development Fellowship until 31 October,
2011. This is a training and development position for postdoctoral
scientists who have recently completed their doctoral studies or are
moving into a new research area. The MRC Laboratory of Molecular
Biology prides itself on its strong track record in training
postdoctoral fellows who have gone on to become leading scientists.

Informal enquiries may be made to Dr Stewart (ms@mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk)

Applications for this position should be made online at
